"At 9 p.m., a witness near Route 44 in Middleboro, Massachusetts (population 6,837), a town about 43 miles (69 kilometers) south of Boston, 'watched a strange, brightly-lit craft' in the southern sky. The craft had numerous red, green and white lights. As the witness watched, it split into two UFOs. The two UFOs then performed a series of dazzling aerobatic maneuvers over Assawompsett Pond, a large glacial lake just south of Middleboro. 'The two crafts flew geometric patterns at high speed around the sky,' then 'the two UFOs combined into one and shortly thereafter disappeared.' A short while later, the witness reported, a few jets, which he believed to be U.S. Air Force jet interceptors, flew over Middleboro." At 9:02 AM, six witnesses saw a small pink ball circling in the morning sky. One witness said, "It was unlike anything we have ever seen. It started circling slow, then faster until it shot away into the distance. We heard a low humming noise, then a sharp screech. It left a blue streak that quickly disappeared. We took numerous photos, but have not developed them." No word available on how the photos came out. Filer's Files 1998-46 (www.ufoinfo.com)
George Filer published this account in his e-newsletter "Filer's Files": "I am a student at Emerson College in Boston. I was driving in early afternoon on the Massachusetts Pike on my way home to Connecticut on October 26, 1998, when I noticed something odd in the sky. I saw what appeared to be a meteor falling toward the earth. It was glowing and emitted a large smoke trail. I immediately glanced to my left and saw what appeared to be a possible military aircraft emitting similar smoke trails flying toward it. The craft had a red light at it's head. I thought it was a missile trying to intercept the meteor. The presumed "meteor" must have been the same type of aircraft, for it didn't plunge toward earth. It arced over the horizon out of my sight. But my attention soon changed to our moon that was visible at this point during the day. To the right of the moon sat a silver horseshoe shaped object. The craft's body was erect and it's two ends each came to a sharp point. It looked like the moon in sliver form in three dimensions, but it didn't move. It was a few miles away and must have been massive. I rolled down my window and began pointing. The other cars on the highway slowed with me the drivers seem to see what I was seeing. There were more of those military jets flying around. As I drove I saw the object from several different perspectives. There was a shadow on the side facing away from the sun. I became very worried. As I attempted to discern its identity, it was not clouds, since they moved away and through the object as it remained stationary. It was not a weather balloon. The distinctive tips were pointing upward and the object was stationary. It was not like any aircraft I have ever seen. It sent shivers down my spine. I watched it for at least ten minutes. I continued to see the weird military jets for the next half hour. Please contact me if you hear any reports that confirm my experience. I guess I have always been an open minded, skeptic. Not anymore!" Filer's Files 1998-43 (www.ufoinfo.com)
"At 8:52 a.m., Lynn S. was driving in rush-hour traffic in Rockland, Massachusetts (population 15,695), a suburb on Route 139 approximately 25 miles (40 kilometers) southeast of Boston. As she neared Reed's Pond, on Market Street in Rockland, she spotted 'a cigar-shaped craft that hovered for a minute and 45 seconds above the waters of Reed's Pond before it plunged in and exploded. I saw the object come across the sky, pulsating a blue light from the top with two strong flashing lights on each side. Traffic slowed, but no one seemed to care enough to get out and see what the object was,' she reported. 'As I approached the traffic lights, people were pointing back at the pond. But without the (traffic) light working, drivers were beginning to swear, cut people off and no one was paying any attention to the object. Upon driving home and finding I had no electricity, I called the electric company but only got a recording. I began calling other residents of the town. They all said they had no electricity after they "heard the planes go over."' At 9:15 a.m., Lynn drove back to Reed's Pond. 'To my amazement, a black ball hovered in the sky above it, as big as a silver dollar, but nothing was astir in the pond. I noticed dead ducks and seagulls floating on the surface.' The UFO zipped away seconds later. 'For the record, I never heard any planes.'" Joseph Trainor, "UFO Roundup" vol.3 no.2 1/11/98 (www.ufoinfo.com/roundup)
At 10:30 PM, two witnesses saw a triangular object moving towards the south. The silent object was the size of a nickel held at arms' length. One witness said, "At first it appeared to be a small orange globe while approaching from the NNW ... However, as the object passed overhead, it appeared as a triangular shape as outlined by three glowing lights, one at each corner of the triangle. I actually could not see the outline of any craft, just the three glowing lights in the triangular formation. Looking through 7x50 Bushnell binoculars, the object appeared to fill the field of view, however all I could see was the three glowing white lights at each point in the triangle... I could not see any form of navigation lights, no colored lights, no strobe lights, nothing but the three glowing white lights. I observed the object until it became too small to be seen." (www.ufoinfo.com)
A 10-year old boy had this to say about the UFO he saw for a minute and a half: "They were two light green-white lights heading north. It didn't have flashing lights, either. It was going pretty fast and directly north. My 6 friends saw this, too. Though they said it was two seagulls because we are near a beach. But I countered by saying that seagulls are white and black and don't fly at night." (www.ufowatch.com/sightings)
While driving on I-495 at about 2:00 AM, 22-year-old David Boucher saw two UFOs that hovered for a minute and thirty seconds before being lost to view. He said, "THERE WERE TWO UFO'S THAT WERE PARALLEL TO EACH OTHER IN THE NIGHT SKY HOVERING. THERE WERE NO FLASHING LIGHTS, OR DISTINGUISHING MARKS TO INDICATE A HELICOPTER OR AIRPLANE. THE TWO LIGHTS WERE OF A SOFT OFF-WHITE COLOR. I WORKED AS A CREW CHIEF IN THE MILITARY FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS, AND HAVE SEEN MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF AIRCRAFT, BUT I HAD NOT SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THE TWO OBJECTS THAT MYSELF AND MY FREIND SAW THAT NIGHT. MY CONCLUSION AS FAR AS MY KNOWLEDGE OF EXTRATERRESTRIAL BIOLOGICAL ENTITIES GO, AND MY BACKGROUND, I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT WHAT I SAW THAT NIGHT WAS IN FACT AN UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT." (www.ufowatch.com/sightings)
"I have captured on videotape, approximately 60 seconds, of what I would describe as three anomalous "objects" over the city of Boston, MA. The footage begins with one or more of the "objects" traveling at an incredibly fast speed over the skyline of Boston. It continues a second or two later with one of the "objects" travelling at a much slower speed, emerging from the right of the frame, on the far side of the Tobin Memorial Bridge (the footage was shot from Chelsea, MA, about three miles from the city of Boston) and travels toward, up and over the Prudential Tower, and then down and parallel to the top of the Hancock tower, then travels upward into what I would describe as a "power-climb" and off to the left of the screen, and disappears. The second "object" emerges also from the right of the frame, and takes a more direct route across the center of the frame, and disappears. But, at the same time the second "object" appears, a third appears beneath the second, and this one is much closer--on the near side of the Bridge. It travels up and down, and disappears behind a stand of trees---only to appear again on the left side of the frame, from behind the trees, merely three blocks from the camera!!! I have already applied for copyright protection, and have some people analyzing the footage now. I can only verify this, by allowing you to see the footage, as I did not report it to local authorities." UFOs in New Mexico and the World website (members.xoom.com/ufosnmw/reports)
"Route 56 between Paxton and Worcester. This is a reservoir road in thickly tree covered area. As I was driving, I noticed a low light on my right side midst the trees. (Bordering side of the road. On the other side of the trees is the actual reservoir.) The light (appx.7-10 feet in length) appeared to be moving with the speed of my car. I slowed down to about 15mph and so did the "light." Now the "weird" part - at that point, I heard a PIERCING sound that lasted about a few seconds (could'nt even guess exactly how long.) This was a MOTHER OF ALL LOUD NOISES. Man....It made me gnaw my teeth. The sound stopped abruptly. I could not see the light as I looked around. My head hurt for something like two hours and I could not fall asleep for that time. Again, the weird part was not necessarily the strange "light" trailing my car on the other side of trees, but the "sound from hell." I will never forget it." "My mother was the one who saw this ufo for about 45 minn. It was silent with red and white lights, mostly white lights. It stayed over school yard a little higher than tree top level. She wanted to go outside for better look but was scared. Went to bathroom, came back and the object was gone." UFOs in New Mexico and the World website (members.xoom.com/ufosnmw/reports).
"I was sitting in my kitchen looking out my window. I saw a self luminous object hovering over the woods past the field. It hovered for about two minutes and flew to the right faster than my eyes could
follow."-

"It looked like an orange (orange too), and it moved very rapidly across the sky and disappeared. We spotted it later South west of Coast Guard Beach, over some trees, and once again it disappeared. Earlier, around dusk, we saw several glimmering objects over Cape Cod Bay that also moved very rapidly. It would disappear and reappear several miles away, North or South of the original vanishing point from which the object was noticed to blink and glide to the left and right while moving slowly up."-Shmaga Burtos. UFOs in New Mexico and the World website (members.xoom.com/ufosnmw/reports).
"At approximately 6 p.m., a man standing on the eastern shore of the Quabbin Reservoir, just west of Petersham, Massachusetts, spotted three UFOs in the sky over the huge man-made lake. 'I saw them moving in a circular, sweeping sort of motion,' the man said. 'They made no noise and produced only a brightening light that seemed to silhouette them against the sky." At first "the UFOs appeared as lines in the sky,' he added, 'but by their appearance I judged them to be flat or concave in shape. The area (of flight) was west of my position looking over the Quabbin. The objects were moving at what I would say was 30 miles per hour in a north-south rotation, switching directions in the air. I watched them for about five minutes until the objects zipped over the (Berkshire) hills to the west.'" Joseph Trainor, "UFO Roundup" vol.1 no.15 5/26/96
At 3:45 AM, a 9-year-old boy saw a gray and black diamond-shaped object with green and white lights on the bottom that "swirled and then zoomed straight into the ocean" after 5 minutes. For half an hour, a glowing light was visible under the surface of the water. www.ufowatch.com/sightings
At about 4 PM, two brothers were traveling on Rte. 495 South near the Lowell area when they saw a very bright stationary light in the south west sky at about 30 degrees elevation. They pulled over and watched it hover for about 5 minutes. One witness reported, "This object was very bright, brighter than anything I have ever seen in day or night. It was about three times the size and brightness of the largest planet, and was a brilliant white... We then witnessed something that dumbfounded us both. With both of us staring at the object, it moved about 20 degrees to the right, and 10 degrees down in just 1 second. Thats right, 1 second. It made a sort of streak during this 1 second from were it was to where it went, otherwise it would have looked like it was turning off and on. We then observed it for about 3 minutes stationary, it then moved again about 10 degrees right and 10 degrees down in about 1 second. It then drifted away to the south almost directly away from us, for about 2 minutes. It then blinked out for good. This was not Venus, nor an airplane, nor weather balloons, nor mirages. We saw an incredible sight that defies logic." The Ultimate Ufologist's WWW Page (http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/AndyPage/)
Here is the report: "My wife and myself saw what appeared to be a green fireball. We observed it for approx. 6-7 seconds before it disappeared over the horizon. I checked with the local science museum and the astronomer in charge of the planetarium said she saw it too. However she said she would check with Boston Observatory and they told her nothing was reported to them. How odd us three were the only ones that saw it and reported it." An isoceles triangle of flattened vegetation was found in a bed of ferns among some trees. The triangular area was 10 meters high. The half-meter-high ferns were all bent in the same direction. No UFO was reported but investigators noted a similarity to the "crop circle" phenomenon. (http://bedlam.rutgers.edu/ufo/north-am.crop-circles.1993)
"Two friends and myself, were walking home from a supermarket through powerlines in Plymouth, when four yellow lights in the sky caught all our eyes at the same time. Four lights, looked to be about a 1/2 mile apart from each other, all traveling at the same speed,(slowly), and in the same direction. At a certain point in the sky, the one in front began to fly straight up. When the second light reached the same point, it too started flying straight up. The third and fourth light followed this pattern, all reaching the same point before heading up. At this time, we started throwing around the idea that ,"hey, maybe those are u.f.o.'s". But as they continued straight up, we noticed that they were not changing direction at all. they were flying right out of the earth's atmosphere. The lights got smaller and smaller until they were too small to see. Now we were sure we had seen "other than human built" crafts. They were totally silent, as were we, watching from the ground."- Gregory Cyr. UFOs in New Mexico and the World (members.xoom.com/ufosnmw/reports).
Anonymous witness: At about 9 PM "I saw a small pinpoint of light moving in a northern direction.Thought it was an airplane at first but watched it anyway. then I looked up and saw a orange glowing circle of light that seemed to be the size of a dime. It was flying either in or above a very thin cloud. The smaller light flew under than into the larger light. than it disappeared. I don't know what it was but I thought that was pretty weird." The UFO Report Website (http://members.dencity.com/uforeport/)
The witness reported, "A friend and I went to the old abandoned civil war base in Hull, MA. It is up on a hill overlooking the water, and when you sit on the walls the view is absolutely beutiful. Also, on the wall puts you right above a lot of street lights so the sky is actually fairly well lit even in the evening. We were sitting on the wall, talking. Suddenly I heard a low pitched, barely audible "whoosh" sound up to my left. I looked up and saw the edge of a gray flying saucer coming into view. For some reason, I didn't react, I just kept watching it. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed that my friend was doing the same. It was only about 100 feet above us and was travelling probably 5 mph. As it pulled out in front of - almost directly overhead, it suddenly sunk in what I was staring at (I didn't believe in UFOs at the time) and I swore and jump to my feet. My friend did the same and there we stood - staring at this huge (would guess 150-300 feet across) metallic gray saucer with lights around it. We got a view of it all together for about 3-4 minutes before it suddenly disappeared out over the horizon (it seems to me that it suddenly accelerated very quickly, though it is also possible that it vanished. That one point in my memory of the evening is a little blurry, I am afraid). In addition, while it was there, we saw some other smaller lights high up in the sky shooting around. I thought these looked like asteroids burning up in the atmosphere, and had they not appeared while (and only while) this other object were there, I would probably have ignored them." "When I was came home from work, I saw a tiny light flashing red, then yellow, then red, then yellow, ect. It was moving about 5 miles per hour. It was there for about 10 seconds then I couldn't see it anymore."- John Beardman. UFOs in New Mexico and the World website (members.spree.com/ufosnmw/reports)
I am going to reproduce this entire report as I found it: "I never had the access to tell anyone this story before, so here we go.... In May of 1979 at a hospital facility in Medfield, Ma was where the sighting took place. I was escorting 10 patients to another building on the grounds because we had run out of room at the one I worked in. It was a nice night in mid-May, so many asked if we could walk instead of riding over as usual, I said sure. Paul, one of the patients I liked to talk to, asked if he could tag along for the walk, and it was ok with me. We had to walk approx. 1/4 mile to get to the sleepover building, passing 3 huge, deserted buildings along the way. John, one of the patients said something in the sky was strange... I said yeah sure, but he kept insisting we all look... We all saw a light coming down from the sky at an odd angle. Someone mentioned it could be a plane... but John told us he was a spotter in the armed forces during the war and that this was no plane. Must be a helicopter or something I reasoned, but he would have none of it. Sensing the patients anxiety, I hastened them on, all the while watching this object getting closer, and seeming to be coasting in behind the deserted buildings. Now it wasn't just the patients getting nervous! Paul was really getting upset, practically jumping all around me asking what it was, why can't we go see it, was it a ufo... I pulled him aside and told him to cool it and that the object would still be there on our way back, and he looked at me quizzically, and asked me how i knew that. I don't know, I just knew... After getting the near hysterical patients on the sleepover ward, it was time to head back. To set the scene, the moon was out, a slight breeze, the stars were bright in the sky. There were no lights on near the deserted buildings, so it was fairly dark except for the moonlight... Paul asked over and over how I knew it was still going to be there. It just is, I told him. We saw nothing at all untill we turned the corner of the last two buildings. There it was!! Between the two buildings with barely 10 feet on either side was the singlemost scariest thing i had ever seen!!! A triangular shape, hovering not more than 25ft. from us. We were frozen for a few seconds. Paul whispered what is it Dave, what is it? Before I could think of an answer, an extremely bright, white light, suddenly blinked on us from the middle of the shape. I quickly looked on both sides of the buildings and saw no evidence of the light on them. Must be a very narrow beam I thought." And there the story ends! I don't know what happened, but the report does not continue. See for yourself at the Ultimate Ufologist's WWW Page (http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/AndyPage/)
"Myself and a friend were sitting in a parked car on a cold winter evening when a UFO passed slowly by. We were at the rear of a brightly lit parking lot behind at 70 ft tall insurance company building. The ground was covered with snow which reflected the light from the parking lot lamps into the night sky. We witnessed a round metalic looking craft move slowly over the insurance company building. It was approx 100 ft in the air and moving aboud 10 mph. It was approx 60 ft in diameter and had the texture of stainless steel. It was flat on top with short straight sides that then angled down to the base. We got a real good look at it since the lights from the parking lot were reflecting off the snow and shining up at it. We were approx 100 yards away from the back of the building when it went over. We saw no lights and heard no sound as it passed by. It was in plain view for approx 15 seconds. This was not a distant light in the sky! This was up close and real. It happened 20 years ago and I remeber it like it was yesterday. I don't know who was in it or if it was from this world but the two of us definitly saw it up close. It was some kind of craft, thats all I know. I have never seen any lights in the sky nor have I seen anything like this again in the 20 years that have passed since this encounter." A thirteen-year-old witness was walking the dog on an early November evening when the dog "suddenly froze and looked up".Then the dog turned and started running towards home. "She was acting strangely, pulling me home." Then, the witness saw a school-bus-sized object silently pass in front of him some distance ahead (within half a mile), moving to the east. It appeared to be at about treetop level. According to the report, "the object was shaped like an egg and glowed showing no defined lines. I only saw it for a few seconds as it passed by." Terrified, the witness ran home, and the dog cowered under the table. The witness also added, "about three weeks later however my dad told me he had read in a local paper that a group of people on Jerusalem Rd in Cohasset had witnessed strange lights over the ocean and contacted the coast guard and Logan Airport to report it. No explanation could be given to them." Full report (copyrighted) at Erickson Paranormal Research Foundation (www.eprf.tzo.com)
The witness made this report to ufos.about.com: "On 7/4/69 or 7/4/68 (I believe it was 1969, but it definitely was July 4th) at the age of 14 or 15, I was lying on my back on the roof of a car-port in front of my house on Otis Air Force Base, on Cape Cod, Massachusetts (there were no fireworks permitted on base, so we kids were having a water-balloon- and egg-fight, and I was hiding in ambush on the roof of the carport, a wall-less automobile shelter). It was at about 2130 or so; visibility was excellent, with no clouds and, as I recall, no moon. While waiting to ambush my friends I observed a not-particularly bright point of white light nearly directly overhead moving very slowly (perhaps the width of a finger held at arm's length per minute) from west to east. Having observed satellites (such as Echo) on previous occasions, and being familiar with the visual characteristics of military aircraft, having been raised on Air Force bases, I initially believed I was seeing a satellite. However, after about three or four minutes the light made an abrupt 90 degree turn to the north. At that time I abandoned my planned ambush and went into my house to tell my father what I had seen. My father came outside with me and I pointed the light out to him (the light was still proceeding north at that time). My father (a Command and Instructor Pilot, at the time a Captain, WWII combat veteran with well over 10,000 hours of flight time in multi-engine aircraft ranging from the B-17 and B-24 through the EC-121) was interested and brought out a pair of fairly powerful binoculars with which to more-closely observe the light. When I used the binoculars I could not discern a disk, fuselage, or any shape, only a point source of light, with no navigational lights (red/green) or strobe light(s). While my father and I were watching, the light made another 90 degree course change, proceeding towards the east again. My father then went next door and asked our neighbor, then a Major in the same squadron (of the 552nd Airborne Early Warning & Control Wing, I believe) to come out and have a look. Our neighbor watched with us as, a few more minutes later, the object made another 90 degree turn, again to the north. At that time the Major went back into his house to get his telescope, a 3" reflector, which he set up and then used to observe the light (I did not have a chance to look at the light through the telescope). By this time there were perhaps a half-dozen neighborhood kids all excitedly watching, but no discussion of what we were seeing, since we all knew we didn't talk about 'UFOs'. At this time, about ten minutes since I had first seen the light, my father went into the house and called Base Operations (he was, I believe, on-call as Squadron Duty Officer that evening). When he came back out he commented that he'd been told that the object was being tracked on radar and that it was at an altitude of (as I recall) 140,000 feet and moving at about 400 miles an hour. He discussed this with our neighbor, the Major. I knew then that the US aircraft with the (then rumored) capability to approach 100k feet in altitude, the SR 71, also was much faster than 400 mph, and asked my father about what we were seeing. He declined to discuss the issue with me or the other kids aside from general comments like, 'Well, isn't that something,' and 'It's turned again,' and the like (my father had, on prior occasions, briefly mentioned his encounters with Foo Fighters and Gremlins during WWII, but always denied any belief in UFOs per se, preferring to point out that any aerial object that could not be identified was, obviously, a UFO, so what's the big deal.). The light made a total of five or six right-angle turns in the interval of perhaps 15-20 minutes while we were observing it. While I was looking at the light proceeding slowly to the east, and now perhaps two hand-spans at arm's length more easterly than when I first saw it, but still high in the sky, the light suddenly accelerated towards the east, looking for a moment like a meteor, a very brief, narrow streak of light. Within a second or so it had disappeared from view to the east. There was a general expression of amazement from the observers. My father went back in the house and called Base Operations again. In a minute he came back out, and said the event had just been classified. And that we were not to discuss it further. My father and our neighbor, the Major, sent all the kids about their business and we went in the house. My father would never discuss the incident in any specifics again. I apologize for the length of this report. Although not a particularly spectacular sighting and having happened many years ago, I feel it may be of some interest because Otis Air Force Base was, at that time, one of the more important bases of the Air Defense Command, hosting a wing of EC 121 Constellations, aircraft used for airborne radar surveillance and electronic intelligence gathering operations from the 50's through the 70's." A witness driving homesaw a crowd near the High School (including 2 police officers) watching a UFO. He described it as "a huge bright ball of light" hovering in the sky. Two jet fighter planes approached the UFO, but when the got close, it moved incredibly quickly to a new location. This happened about four times in the ten minutes the witness was watching it. The sighting was reported on the radio and in the newspaper. The Ultimate Ufologist's WWW Page (http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/AndyPage/)
The witness reported recently, "My Aunt called telling us that she had heard on the radio that a UFO was over Boston and heading north. Being 20 miles north of Boston, we went out on the front lawn and looked south. There it was 90 degrees from horizon moving quickly back and forth, up and down, changing from white to blue to yellow. It moved faster than any known jet, and could stop instantly. This activity went on for 15 minutes then it vanished. The event was witnessed by thousands of citizens of Massachusetts." www.ufomind.com
Around 4 PM in November, a 10-year-old witness and his friend were outside playing in Everett in an area known as the Lynde, bordering on Charlestown. The sky was overcast. One of the witnesses noticed "a pair of dark gray objects (darker than the clouds) moving in perfect formation rapidly across the sky roughly about 500' above me." He alerted his friend, who also saw the UFOs. They had no visible means of propulsion. According to the report, "the only sound we heard was of air rushing in to fill the void behind them as they passed overhead." Late 1963, Randolph
A huge circle of lights, bigger than a blimp, was seen over Blue Hill late in 1963. One of the witnesses stated,
"Someone noticed it over the hills so we all went out to look. It was this very large flying saucer with lights around it,
and it was hovering over the hills a quarter to a half mile away." It made no sound. The sighting lasted several
minutes. The location was at the junction of Routes 28 & 128.

"It was Sunday, August 18, 1963 (And has the world changed since then!). I was 13 years old, and we were gathered for a family reunion cookout at the home of my grandparents, John and Alice Trainor, at 36 Malta Street in Seekonk, Massachusetts, just east of the Rhode Island state line. At about 3:30 p.m., because it was so sunny and hot, I decided to find a shady spot and catch up on my reading. I found a backyard lounge chair in the shade of my grandmother's lilac bushes. I began reading a DC comic book--the aptly-named Mystery in Space. Adam Strange, Alanna, Sardath--all my favorite people on my favorite planet, Rann. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted a bright gleam. I was facing due east. Up fron the pine trees came this bright object, obviously reflecting the sun, which was behind me. It rose in a southerly direction from a point 20 degrees above the horizon to 45 degrees above the horizon. Airplane, I thought, and went back to my reading. A few minutes later, I looked up from the page and was startled to find the bright object in the exact same position. It hadn't moved at all. I frowned, putting down the book. What is that thing? Staring at it, I could see that it was a flattened disc, bright silver in color, nearly as shiny as the chrome bumper on my father's 1955 Chevrolet Bel-Air. It had definite edges and it hovered motionless in the blue sky. I'd estimate that it was about a mile east of me, somewhere above then-rural Arcade Avenue. I heard my relatives chatting in the front yard and realized they couldn't see the object. So I hollered, 'Hey! Come here! You've got to see this!' They ignored me. The hubbub of conversation went on. I hollered again. 'Get out here--quick!' Still no response. My throat getting hoarse, I tried again. 'Come on! You're missing it!' Minutes passed as I watched the daylight disc. Then it zipped away in a southeasterly direction, taking precisely two seconds to reach the horizon. I know because I was counting, 'One thousand, two thousand,' and it was gone. I blinked at the horizon, thinking, I just saw a flying saucer! While sitting there, I heard a tremendous thundering behind me. Jumping up, I saw a U.S. Navy jet fighter come barreling over the neighborhood, afterburners at full roar. The plane flew towards the southeast, following the same trajectory the disc had two minutes earlier. I have seen a lot of aircraft during the ensuing thirty-five years. But I have never seen any airplane anywhere, not even the F-16, match the breathless speed of that flattened silver disc. I do not know what the disc was. But I can identify the jet. It was a Vought F-8 Crusader, with the black letters NAVY clearly visible on the underside of the wings."-Joseph Trainor. "UFO Roundup", vol.1, no.15. 5/26/96 (www.ufoinfo.com/roundup)

A witness reported this incident: "My cousin and I were fishing off a chain of rocks in Rockport, Massachusetts one evening. It got dark and we had to find our way back to the beach when my cousin pointed out a green object in the sky. It was far off in the horizon and moving fast. We freaked out and ran down the rock chain and back to Gloucester. Two nights later we saw two other mysterious, green objects over the water at a different location. The objects vanished and we didnt see them again." No date was given. (http://unsolvedmysteries.com)

Around 2 AM, two witnesses saw a cigar-shaped craft in the sky. It appeared to
be about a half mile over the ground. One witness, Kevin, wrote, " I was speechless, as was Josh. It all of a sudden seemed to have smaller lights spinning around it, and a strange aura as well. I was in a trance, not from the craft or anything like that, just from seeing this happening in front of my own eyes."
Both witnesses detected a strange ozone-like or "electrical"
odor. After about six minutes, the object disappeared in a flash.
